INTERNATIONAL COORDINATION
Every year Imfer assists many foreign patients who want to undergo an assisted reproduction treatment. In order to serve them better, Imfer offers a department devoted exclusively to foreign patients.
Despite the distance, we take care of you in a personalized and friendly way. We think that patients who undergo a fertility treatment do not only need the most advanced technology, but also consistent support along the whole process. This is especially true in the case of couples residing abroad, who do not have the possibility of consulting their doctors about their concerns and who also have to plan their travel for the last phase of the treatment.
A coordinator, always the same, will be in charge of following your case, replying to your questions and solving your doubts at any time. She will act as liaison between you and the medical team, supporting you in each phase of the treatment. The different coordinators speak perfectly several languages (French, English, Italian and German) and will act as interpreters during medical consultations.
With an aim to facilitate the development of the treatment and the arrangements for you stay here, we will do our best to adjust to your time availability. IMFER has the most advanced technology to optimize your chances. We offer different treatments that are customized to your case: we perform all the assisted reproductive techniques authorized by the Spanish law. Among the most advanced techniques, the following stand out :
IMSI (Intracytoplasmic Morphologically-Selected Sperm Injection)
This technique allows selecting the best sperms from a morphological point of view by using the latest generation system that allows observing sperm at a greater magnification (8000-12000-fold instead of at 400-600-fold with the standard ICSI). This technique offers better results in pregnancy rates and, at the same time, increases the chances of producing a live child.

Egg and embryo freezing by means of VITRIFICATION
This freezing technique, which allows for cryopreserving oocytes and embryos without damage due to ice crystal formation inside the cells, has improved survival rates up to 95-98%, reaching almost identical pregnancy rates as with fresh cycles.

SET (Single Embryo Transfer)
An optimal embryo selection has been developed for cases in which a single embryo is to be transferred for medical or personal reasons. By applying strict viability criteria and determining the best day for the transfer, we offer you a pregnancy rate almost similar to that obtained with the transfer of two embryos.
All assisted reproduction treatments can be performed with the sperm of an anonymous donor.
